Tamil Nadu government canceled arrear exams because of the COVID 19 outbreak. Besides final year students are required to write their terminal semester.

Last month, the Tamil Nadu government canceled semester exams and exempted Bachelor's and Master's programmes in arts, sciences, and engineering to the next academic year except for final years.

Today (Aug 26) TN Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami called off arrear exams for all college students except for final years. Contemplating demands and requests from students, State higher education department held a meeting with vice-chancellors who decided to excuse all students except final year students who paid fees for arrear exams.

The marks will be granted based on the guidelines of The University Grants Commission(UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
