Time to live with coronavirus following rules to be alive: The highest single-day coronavirus infected cases in India were reported only yesterday with more than 5,000 cases. India beats China to come to the eleventh position globally with 90,927 coronavirus affected cases.  But the death toll is 2,827 far below compared to other countries.

Due to the continued rapid rise of coronavirus infections, India remains under lockdown 4.0 until May 31 with relaxations. It is time to learn to live with coronavirus strictly following the rules to be alive.

Tamil Nadu seesaws between the second and third positions, with both are crossing the 10,000 marks. Maharashtra retains the No. 1 position with an unbeatable record of more than 30,000.

Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy, on May 17 the day of lockdown 3.0 to end, announced its extension until midnight May 31. While some earlier restrictions like the closure of educational institutions, public gatherings, and others to continue, there are many relaxations in lockdown 4.0.

But it is restricted only to 25 districts and that too not applicable to the containment zones in those districts. Many of the relaxations will bring back the livelihood of the lockdown hit people for the past 52 days continuously from March 25.

As of 8 AM yesterday, May 17, there are 10,585 COVID 19 cases in Tamil Nadu, of which 3,538 have recovered, and 74 passed away. The last twenty-four hours update is awaited, and it could cross the 11,000 marks soon. The two main reasons for the coronavirus spike in Tamil Nadu are alleged to be the Koyambedu cluster and the increase in the testing numbers.

But it still is a disaster for the 12 districts, including Chennai along with its adjoining and nearby districts, to not enjoy the many relaxations announced by the CM for lockdown 4.0.

Hence people should to learn to live with coronavirus, and the 25 districts that enjoy many relaxations have to be aware of it. The transportation, reopening of many shops, and offices with restrictions and others will continue until no spread of further coronavirus infections. If there is a rise in cases, even these districts will end up like the other 12 districts without any relaxation.

And people have to be locked once again in their homes if it happens.  Hence it is essential to strictly follow all the standard operating procedures to the letter and spirit. People should wear a mask in public and follow social distancing norms to be free of the coronavirus crisis in the future.
