A collision between a government bus and a car in Kangeyam, Tiruppur district caused the deaths of five people, including a 3-month-old baby, early this morning (April 9). One person is currently being treated in the hospital for serious injuries.

Chandrasekhar and his wife Chitra left Thirukkadaiyur yesterday to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in Tirupur. However, early this morning (Tuesday), while driving towards Tirupur and passing through Vellakovil, a government bus heading towards Trichy collided with Chandrasekhar's car at Olapalayam.

Five people, including Chandrasekhar (age 60) from Tiruppur, his wife Chitra (57), Prince (26), Arivitra (30) and three-month-old girl Sakshi, died in a car accident. The accident occurred on the Coimbatore-Trichy National Highway and caused serious injuries to another passenger in the car who was taken to the hospital for treatment. As a result, traffic on the highway was affected for over two hours.

As soon as the Vellakoil police arrived at the scene, they recovered the car and bus involved in the accident and restored the traffic. Five members of the same family were killed in the incident, and as a result, the police have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter.

Initial investigations have disclosed that the individuals who lost their lives in the mishap were all members of the same family. This tragic incident left Chandrasekhar's loved ones and acquaintances grieving.
