TN Weather Report: Moderate Rain Expected in 8 Districts Today

On the April 13th (today) Cyclonic winds with a speed of 40 to 45 kmph and occasional gusts of 55 kmph are likely to occur over Kumari sea areas, Gulf of Mannar and adjoining South Tamil Nadu coastal areas and South Kerala coastal areas. Therefore, fishermen are advised not to go to sea.

In this case, rain is likely to occur in 8 districts of Tamil Nadu today, according to the Chennai Meteorological Department.

Nellai, Tenkasi, Thoothukudi, Kumari and other districts were scorched by the sun like never before. Due to this, the water in the water bodies dried up quickly. The water level in the dams also dropped drastically. At this stage, it rained heavily, giving a break to the scorching sun. Due to this, the heat is reduced, and the environment is cool.

It is likely to be 37°C to 40°C at many pockets over the plains of the interior districts; and 33°C to 37°C over most pockets in the coastal areas of Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal.
