Virudhunagar Sexual Harassment Case Transferred to CBCID Says CM

The investigation into the Virudhunagar sexual harassment incident shocked Tamil Nadu has been expedited. Those involved in the incident of raping a woman IN  Virudhunagar have been arrested. Based on the victim's complaint, eight people have been arrested. The main culprits in the case are youth wing executives.

Of the eight arrested, 4 are students, one is a 9th standard student, and the other is an 11th and 12th, standard student. They are being held at a government-run home in Madurai. The police are handling the investigation very carefully as they are students.

Speaking in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly today, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said; - "A case of sexual harassment of a young girl is being investigated in Virudhunagar. The police have registered a case against those involved under various sections. Those involved in the case have been arrested.

Appropriate action will be taken in this case. Incidents like this will be monitored to prevent them from happening again. Unlike the Pollachi incident and the Chennai Washermenpet incident, justice will be served in the Virudhunagar incident. All those involved in the incident will be given due punishment. The case is being transferred to the CBCID."
