Youth To Go 70 Years prison Life For Sexually Harassing A Schoolgirl

Tirupur Magistrate's Court has sentenced a youth to 70 years in prison for sexually harassing a schoolgirl. Strict action taken by Tirupur Magistrate is widely appreciated.

Navarasam, a resident of Udumalaipettai in Tiruppur district, has been working as a temporary employee of the board. In 2020, he sexually harassed a neighbouring school girl and took the video. He also threatened the schoolgirl to release the video if said outside.

The girl told her mother about the incident. Police arrested  Navarasam following a complaint lodged with the police by the school girl's mother and remanded him in custody on charges under the Pocso Act. The case is being heard in the Tirupur Magistrate's Court.

Following the case registered against the accused, the Magistrate's Court sentenced  Navarasam to 70 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 40,000. The common people widely appreciate this punishment against the harassers. People request to take strict punishment against the harassers.
