Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 at its Galaxy Unpacked February 2026 event held in San Francisco, California.

The flagship lineup has now launched in India and other global markets, bringing advanced AI capabilities powered by Google's Gemini 3 series models, along with major upgrades in performance, privacy and camera technology.

Gemini AI Powers the New Galaxy Experience

At the event, Google showcased several Gemini AI-powered features that will debut on select Galaxy S26 series devices. One of the key additions is on-device scam detection integrated into the Galaxy Phone app. When the system detects a suspicious incoming call, users receive a real-time alert warning them of potential fraud.

The Galaxy S26 series also introduces AI-powered Call Screening, which identifies unknown callers and summarises their intent, helping users manage calls more safely and efficiently.

Samsung has integrated multiple AI agents, including Bixby, Gemini and Perplexity, allowing users to perform tasks with a single button press or voice command.

Multi-step actions such as booking rides, coordinating across apps or adjusting device settings can now be handled seamlessly in the background through natural interactions.

Slimmest Ultra Yet with Enhanced Performance

The Galaxy S26 Ultra measures just 7.9mm, making it the slimmest Ultra device yet. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, delivering notable performance gains:

  • Up to 19% improvement in CPU performance
  • 39% boost in NPU performance
  • 24% enhancement in GPU performance

These upgrades enhance multitasking, gaming and on-device AI processing without lag. The Ultra model also features a redesigned vapour chamber and improved thermal interface material, both of which are positioned along the processor to enhance heat dissipation during demanding tasks such as gaming and video recording.

Super Fast Charging 3.0 enables the device to reach 75% battery in just 30 minutes.

Advanced Camera

Samsung continues to push camera innovation with wider apertures that let more light reach the sensor, delivering clearer photos with richer detail in low-light conditions.

Enhanced Nightography video delivers clearer, more vibrant footage in dim environments, while upgraded Super Steady stabilisation makes it easier to capture smooth videos even on uneven terrain or during fast-paced activities.

Privacy Display

One of the most significant innovations is the industry's first built-in Privacy Display for mobile phones. This technology protects content at a pixel level by controlling how light disperses across the screen. The feature keeps the display clear for the user while limiting visibility from side viewing angles.

Users can customise when privacy mode activates, for example, when entering PINs or passwords, or when opening selected apps. There are adjustable settings, including partial screen privacy for notifications and maximum privacy mode for greater protection.

Stronger Security

Samsung has extended post-quantum cryptography (PQC) to critical system processes, including software verification and firmware protection. Knox Matrix has also been enhanced with PQC-enabled end-to-end encryption for direct transfers, such as eSIM migrations, and clearer firmware update visibility across connected Galaxy devices.

The Galaxy S26 series also includes features such as Private Album within Gallery for hiding selected photos and videos, Privacy Alerts for monitoring app permissions, Auto Blocker, Theft Protection, Secure Wi-Fi and Private Sharing.

Samsung has committed to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, ensuring long-term device reliability and protection.
