Google India has laid off 453 employees in various departments. The employees were informed of their termination via email on Thursday, February 16. Layoffs can be difficult for those affected.

Google previously said it planned to lay off 12,000 employees, or 6 per cent of its workforce. Google has laid off 450 plus employees in various fields, including sales and marketing.

In this regard, Sanjay Gupta, head of Google's India division, said, "According to the retrenchment measures announced in January, an email has been sent to the employees from India working in various departments at Google on Thursday."

Employees laid off by Google, noting that officials have been fired, are looking for alternative opportunities.
