The Meta-Owned platforms Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and Messenger experienced server down. Users report page loading and log-out issues.

Meta's popular social media platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and Messenger, experienced worldwide outages on Tuesday (March 5). Mark Zuckerberg's Meta platforms announced that they were working on to resolve the issues.

Meta's spokesperson, Andy Stone, said on his X  page, "We're aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now." Later, he replied to the tweet, saying, "Earlier today, a technical issue caused people to have difficulty accessing some of our services. We resolved the issue as quickly as possible for everyone who was impacted, and we apologize for any inconvenience."

After an hour of server outage, Meta said on its X page, "We know some people were having trouble accessing our apps earlier. Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused, and thank you for your patience while our teams worked quickly to resolve!"

Due to the server down for one hour on March 5 2024, Meta, the parent company of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, experienced an outage that affected a portion of its 3.98 billion global users. As reported by the media, this resulted in a 1.5% drop in its market value, causing a loss of $18 billion.
