Katyusha Rockets Fall Near US Embassy at Green Zone of Baghdad

Katyusha Rockets Fall Near US Embassy at Green Zone of Baghdad

Katyusha Rockets Land Near US Embassy in Iraq: It felt like the war tension between Iran and the US slowing down and showed a relief sign among the people. Now, like cracking that relief shell, two missiles land in the green zone of Baghdad that homes the United States' Embassy and other diplomatic buildings and personnel.

As reported by the Reuters, citing Iraqi Police Source, people and security personnel were alerted with sirens as soon as the two of the three rockets made contact near the US Embassy on Early Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

Though there are no claims for this incident and some similar incidents that happened recently targeting the US Embassy, the United States is blaming a paramilitary group that gets supports from Iran.

Reports also stated that three rockets were fired with the Katyusha Rocket Launcher from Zafaraniyah, outside Baghdad. So far, there were no casualties, reports from the Iraqi Police Department stated.
