Scoot Airlines: TAIWAN Aircraft Cabin Faced Power Bank Battery Fire

Singapore's Scoot Airbus A320-271N aircraft (9V-TNE)  from Daoyuan International Airport in Taiwan was preparing to depart Singapore with passengers. In this case, a passenger's power bank exploded and caught fire on the plane. 

Due to this, the other passengers were frightened. Flight attendants immediately rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire. The passenger who had a power bank and the passenger sitting next to him was injured in the incident. They were given the necessary medical treatment. 

After the fire was extinguished, a full-scale inspection was conducted on the aircraft. Scoot Airlines apologized for the incident. It has been stated in a statement that the safety of air passengers and air staff is important to us.
