May 2024 Theatre Release Tamil Movies List

April 2024 surprises movie lovers with the release and re-release of movies of different genres. The audience celebrated the movies beyond the expected level. The re-release of Ghilli and the Movie Romeo were the most talked-about movies of the month of April. 

And now, May Month welcomes audiences with a good collection of movies. The list of Tamil theatre release movies for May 2024 are listed below.

Akkaran:

Akkaran is an upcoming Crime thriller Tamil movie, which is set to be released on May 3, 2024. The Movie Akkaran is directed by Arun K Prasad and stars M. S. Bhaskar, Kabali Vishwanath in the lead. 

M. S. Bhaskar, Kabali Vishwanath, Venba, and Namo Narayanan are in the lead roles. The Movie also features Akkaran, Priyadharshini Arunachalam and Akash Premkumar.

The plot of Akkaran centers around Veerapandi, a wrestler with two daughters. After one of his daughters is killed by unknown persons, Veerapandi seeks revenge. Will he be able to avenge his daughter's death?

The answer will be delivered to the audience in theatres on May 3, 2024

Nadikar:

Nadikar is a Malayalam Movie which will also be released in Tamil on May 3, 2024. Nadikar was directed by Jean Paul Lal. The movie cast includes Tovino Thomas, Lal, Shine Tom Chacko, Bhavana, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Soubin Shahir, Indrans and Anoop Menon.

The Movie Nadikar falls under the Drama genre and involves dark humour. Nadikar shows the life of the actor who sees the rise and fall in his career.

Aranmanai 4: 

One of the most famous Tamil comedy horror movies, Aranmanai 4, is set to release on May 3, 2024. Like the other parts, the movie is written and directed by Sundar. C

The Star features Sundar C, Tamannaah, Raashii Khanna, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Delhi Ganesh, and Kovai Sarala. Aranmanai 1 is a huge success, and the other two Aranmanai receive moderate success. The fans are eagerly waiting for the Movie to be released to experience the comedic horror movie in theatres.

Star:

Star movie starring Bigg Boss fame Kavin is the anticipated Movie with its Song releases. The Movie is set to release on May 10, 2024. 

The Movie Star is a unique blend of romance, family drama, and college life. Star was written and directed by Elan. The Star cast includes Kavin, Aaditi Pohankar, Preity Mukhundhan Lal, and Geetha Kailasam playing leading roles.

Kavin fans are eagerly waiting to see the Movie on the big screen following the success of Lift and Dada.

Inga Naan Thaan Kingu:

Santhanam's upcoming movie Inga Naan Thaan Kingu will be released in theatres on May 10, 2024. The title of the Movie was inspired by the Tamil song 'Hukum' from Jailer.

The cast includes Santhanam, Priyalaya, Thambi Ramaiah, Vivek Prasanna, Bala Saravanan, Munishkanth, Attul, Maaran, Seshu, Swaminathan, Cool Suresh, and late actor Manobala.

Santhanam is a well-known actor for humour in Tamil cinema. The movie  is expected to be an enjoyable experience, leaving the audience in fits of laughter. The Movie was directed by N. Anand and written by Rathna Kumar.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (Tamil):

"The famous movie 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' is returning as a sequel to 'War for the Planet of the Apes' which was released in 2017. The Tamil-dubbed version of the upcoming movie 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' is set to release on May 10, 2024."

This Movie has lots of fans as it is a science fiction movie that has attracted an audience of all ages.

Garfield (Tamil):

The childhood favorite movie, Garfield, is getting an update and will be released in theaters on May 17, 2024. This Movie is the perfect summer flick for kids to watch. The main character in the Movie is a lazy, overweight cat, created by Jim Davis.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (Tamil):

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is a forthcoming action-adventure movie set in a post-apocalyptic world. It is directed and co-produced by George Miller, who also co-wrote the script with Nico Lathouris. 

The Movie is the fifth Movie in the Mad Max series and serves as both a prequel and spin-off to Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). Fans are awaiting to watch the Tamil-dubbed version which is set to release on May 23, 2024.
