The National Disaster Response Force reports 16 people were dead under the collapsed building, and 78 people were retrieved from the debris thus far.
On 24 th Aug, a building named Tarique Garden collapsed around 7 pm due to rainfall in Raigad district, Maharashtra. Almost 45 families resided in that fiver-storey apartment.
Three teams of NDRF joined with local police and the fire brigade started to rescue people from the damage for the last 36 hours, and they successfully recovered 78 people. People rejoiced the rescue of a 4-year-old boy after 19 hours of struggle.
