On behalf of Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, a postgraduate college student hostel building has been constructed at the cost of 1 crore 50 lakh rupees in Saidapet, Chennai district, a female hostel building has been constructed at the cost of 1 crore 26 lakh 9 thousand rupees in Madurai district, Madurai.
A student hostel building built at the cost of 1 crore 27 lakh 12 thousand rupees in Thiruvarur district-Edaiyur and a student hostel building built at the cost of 1 crore 27 lakh 12 thousand rupees at Koradacheri, a college student hostel building built at the cost of 1 crore 26 lakh 9 thousand rupees at Chloe Cherry, Tenkasi district.
Chief Minister's announcement Adi Dravidar student hostel buildings have been constructed at six places for the benefit of 300 students and 150 students, including the college student hostel building built at the cost of 3 crores 35 lakh 77 thousand rupees in Bhojanapally, Krishnagiri district.
Thiruvallur District-Thervai at Rs 3 crore 70 lakh 5 thousand, Kanchipuram District- Maulivakkam for Rs 3 crore 44 lakh 41 thousand, Eenchambakkam for Rs 1 crore 74 lakh 94 thousand, Mayiladuthurai district for Rs 1 crore 62 lakh 46 thousand and 916 students. And various buildings, including classroom buildings and science and computer labs for 4 Adi Dravidar Welfare Schools, were constructed to benefit 839 female students.
Also, the Chief Minister inaugurated the TAHDCO, which has been set up in the premises of the District Collectorate of these districts for the benefit of the Adi Dravidian and tribal people in the six newly formed districts of Chengalpattu, Tirupattur, Ranipet, Kallakurichi, Tenkasi and Mayiladuthurai.
