IMD predicts heavy rains in Chennai and nine districts of Tamil Nadu in the next two days

Though this year, Northeast monsoon has brought eight centimeters more rain than usual, there is still hope for more rain is what IMD informs today. There will be heavy rains in Chennai and nine districts of Tamil Nadu in the next 48 hours is its weather report. It could be due to the heat waves and the easterly to northeasterly winds bringing the clouds into the Tamil Nadu skies to shower rain.

New low pressure in the Bay of Bengal may bring the hope of rain to Tamil Nadu.

After Bulbul cyclone leaving Tamil Nadu safe, there was no much rain. For the past few days, it was dry and even warmer in many parts. But an official of the Indian Met department has confirmed of formation of low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. Though there is no accurate information about it, IMD has only confirmed that there will be rains in many parts of Tamil Nadu for the next two days.

Places in Tamil Nadu to receive heavy rains in next 48 hours

From today morning, there was a medium raining in many places in Tamil Nadu. As per the IMD weather forecast, Chennai is to receive heavy rains in the next 48 hours. The other nine districts to get substantial rain include

  • Tirunelveli
  • Toothukudi
  • Ramanathapuram
  • Virudunagar
  • Sivagangai
  • Pudukottai
  • Thanjavur
  • Tirvarur
  • Nagapattinam

Hope and wish the predictions of IMD become true to bring one more spell of rain to Tamil Nadu. It could cheer a lot of farmers and city dwellers to not worry about water during 2020.
