Michaung: Rs 6000 Relief Aid Announced By Govt To People Affected

Tamil Nadu CM Stalin has announced that Rs. 6000 will be given as relief aid to the people whose livelihoods have been affected by the Michaung cyclone floods.

Due to unprecedented rainfall, Cyclone 'Michaung' in Tamil Nadu caused heavy damage in Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur districts. 

Chief Minister M.K.Stalin has appealed to the business people, volunteers and the public to contribute to the Michuang rescue work through the Chief Minister's General Relief Fund to rehabilitate the affected areas and create new livelihoods. Chief Minister M.K.Stalin donated his one-month salary to the General Relief Fund.

In such case, TVS company has provided Rs.3 crore to the Chief Minister's General Relief Fund. Shenu Aggarwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Ashok Leyland, provided a check of Rs 3 crore to the Chief Minister's General Relief Fund for Cyclone Michaung disaster relief work. 

PSG Group's Leap Green Energy Pvt Ltd Founder and Managing Director Rajeev Karthikeyan and Chief Executive Officer Dev Anand presented a check of Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister's General Relief Fund. Leader of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi and Member of Parliament Thol. Thirumavalavan handed over a check for one month's salary of the party's MPs and Assembly members to the Public Relief Fund for the Michong Cyclone disaster relief work.

In this situation, CM Stalin has announced Rs. 6000 as relief aid to the people whose livelihoods have been affected by the Michaung storm floods. This compensation will be paid in cash through Ration Shops in the affected areas.

Also, the compensation amount has been increased from Rs.4 lakh to Rs.5 lakh for the families of those who lost their lives due to cyclones and floods.
