Tamil Nadu Weather Report: Orange Alert Has Announced In Few Districts

It has been raining continuously in various parts of Tamil Nadu due to atmospheric circulation and convection. Thus reservoirs across the state are rapidly filling up. 

Continuous heavy rain is witnessed in many districts. Accordingly, holidays have been declared for schools in 10 districts, including Chennai, Cuddalore, Pudukkottai, Kanchipuram and Ranipettai.

Accordingly, holidays have been announced for schools in Chennai, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Kanchipuram, Villupuram, Thanjavur, Cuddalore, Pudukkottai, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Thiruvannamalai, Nagapattinam, Namakkal, Thiruvarur, Tirupattur, Karur, Kallakurichi, Trichy and Vellore districts.

Holidays have already been announced for schools in Pondicherry. In this case, the school education department has announced a public holiday for both public and private schools in Pondicherry and Karaikal on November 5 and 6.

The low-pressure area in the Kumari Sea area is likely to move westwards to the southeastern Arabian Sea in the next 24 hours. Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu and Thiruvannamalai districts will receive heavy thundershowers today and tomorrow due to the prevailing atmospheric circulation from this low-pressure area to southern Andhra Pradesh. An orange alert was issued for these districts.
