Earlier today, popular YouTuber Savukku Shankar was arrested by the Coimbatore Cybercrime Police in Theni for allegedly defaming female constables. While being transported from Theni to Coimbatore, the police vehicle collided with a lorry near Dharapuram in Tirupur district, resulting in minor injuries to Shankar and all the guards.

Savukku Shankar, also known as A. Shankar, is a controversial figure in Tamil Nadu, India. He is a YouTuber and former government employee who was suspended from his position as a lower division clerk in the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption.
Savukku Shankar Defamatory Case:
According to the police, Savukku Shankar was arrested by the Cyber Crime Wing for allegedly making derogatory remarks about police personnel in Tamil Nadu during an interview he gave to another YouTube channel. A case was filed against him based on a complaint lodged by Sub-Inspector Sukanya of the Crime Branch Wing, Coimbatore City Police.
