Late Tamil Nadu Chief Ministers Kalaignar Karunanidhi and Perarignar Anna's Memorial was revamped by the Tamil Nadu government. This revamped memorial has many features.

The late CM, Dravidian Icon Karunanidhi, was fondly called Kalaignar, whose memorial was revamped by his son and today's Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. The memorial consists of many exciting and attractive features. Many celebrities and politicians attended this inauguration.

Features of Kalaignar Memorial Inauguration

The modern features are 7D Screens, an underground museum, selfie points, touchscreen displays, a library, the highlights of late CM's life, and many more.

Before entering the memorial, you can see the letter written by Congress Leader Sonia Gandhi to Karunanidhi for announcing Tamil as a classical language. In the way, you will see the Tiruvalluvar statue and some of the monumental achievements of Kalaignar Karunanidhi as a chief minister.

You will be able to see Tamil Thaai Vaazhthu on a wall. People are also allowed to take selfies with Kalaignar's statue. In which he was seen sitting in his Gopalapuram house, and more exciting and historical features are also there.

Celebrities and Politicians Visited the Memorial

The Memorial was built at a cost of Rs. 39 crores on 57 acres of land near Anna Complex or Kamarajar Salai.

At this event, the Chief Minister Stalin came with his party colleagues, including the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Udhayanidhi Stalin. Also, Tamil film industry superstar Rajinikanth participated in this inauguration because of his love for Karunanidhi.

Regarding this inauguration event, the official X account, CMOTamilNadu, has posted, "Hon'ble Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the renovated memorial of Anna, the selfless leader of the Tamil community, and the newly erected memorial of Muttamizharinar Kalaignar at Marina Beach, Chennai, and inaugurated the artist world arena set up at the memorial."
