PV Sindhu advanced to the women's singles badminton pre-quarterfinals on July 31 at the Paris Olympics 2024. In her second and final Group M match, Sindhu defeated Estonian player Kristin Kuuba with scores of 21-5 and 21-10 to secure a spot in the Round of 16.
Two-time Olympic medalist Sindhu started the match with a commanding lead, jumping ahead by 8 points before Kuuba managed to score in the first game. Despite Kuuba's attempts to build momentum, she struggled to match Sindhu's intensity.
After losing the first game 21-5, Kuuba initially led in the second game but was unable to maintain her advantage. Sindhu quickly regained ground and nailed her second successive win of the tournament.
