Online application for the NEET exam for medical courses started yesterday. Students eagerly applied. The website was down for a while as lakhs of people applied at once.

Accordingly, National Examinations Agency was announced that the NEET examination for the 2021-22 academic year would be held on August 1. Later the exam was postponed without mentioning the date due to the second wave of corona infection. Accordingly, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced on Twitter yesterday that the exam will be conducted from September 12, and the Corona guidelines will be followed strictly.

The NEET website is busy as lakhs of students are rushing into the website in order to apply for Neet. Accordingly, the application for the examination started at 5 pm yesterday through the website https://neet.nta.nic.in/. Applications can be submitted until 11.50 am on August 6. Payment along with GST will be made online till 11.50 am on August 7.

It is said that the selection centres will be announced on August 20. The ticket can be downloaded from the website three days before the exam. The exam will be held at the same time across India, including Tamil Nadu, on Sunday, September 12, from 2 pm to 5 pm. The date of examination results will be announced on the website.

The students have started to show more interest in NEET this year. This exam is set to be conducted in written format in 13 regional languages , including Tamil, English and Hindi. It will be conducted at 3,862 centres in 201 cities across India.

In Tamil Nadu alone, the exam will be held in 18 cities, including Chennai, Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Kanchipuram, Karur, Madurai, Nagercoil, Namakkal, Salem, Thanjavur, Tiruvallur, Trichy, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Chengalpattu, Virudhunagar, Dindigul and Tiruppur.

A high-level panel headed by retired Judge AK Rajan has submitted a report to Chief Minister Stalin today on the impact of the NEET examination on medical student admissions in Tamil Nadu.

The NEET system for admission of medical students is aimed at ensuring that the backward students of the society so that no students get affected as the last few years, and if there are any disadvantages to the backwards students, they can opt for another method that all can use as an alternative to this system.

To solve this issue an eight-member committee was set up, headed by Judge Rajan. The Committee will review the relevant statistics and make necessary recommendations to the Government within a month to safeguard the welfare of backward students in Tamil Nadu. The Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that it will study the necessities and recommendations and take the following steps.

A total of 165 pages of the report contained comments, vulnerabilities and nature, vulnerabilities to rural and urban students, exposures to public school students, trainees at the training centre, issues faced by parents, teachers, students, supportive comments and many more. And has been reported to the Government as a recommendation of the Committee with several features.

It is expected that the Chief Minister Stalin will take a decision regarding the NEET Examination on the basis of the report after consulting with senior government officials, school education and higher education minister.
